கூளம் - Kuulam
s. rubbish of straw, hemp etc. chaff, குப்பை; 2. sediment, dregs, திப்பி.
குப்பையும் கூளமும், sweepings and chips. கூளத்தைத் தூற்றிப்போட, to winnow the chaff. கூளம்போட்டுத் தட்டின எருமுட்டை, fuel made of cowdung mixed with chaff etc. கூளன், a worthless person.
